"Charles III of Spain and the antiquity" tells the story of how Charles III funded the excavations that discovered the ancient cities of Herculaneum and Pompeii, spreading the knowledge acquired throughout Europe and America. It uses virtual reality that allows simultaneous visits to its three venues: the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples, the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in San Fernando in Madrid. Also during the visit, the public can view and manipulate works in 3D. |
