Alexandra Fortune: Mystery of the Lunar Archipelago BlitPop Games / Alawar Entertainment, Inc. 2009

Alexandra Fortune received a magical pendant from her grandfather, a worldwide explorer and adventurer, when she was a small child. As an adult, she starts to search for him after his mysterious disappearance, vanishing as he used to do when embarking on a new expedition. She finds a journal with notes and details of his lifetime research about the Lunar Archipelago, and decides to travel to the islands to continue her quest, arriving in a bizarre and remote place containing remnants of all lost civilizations. Alexandra Fortune: Mystery of the Lunar Archipelago is an adventure and hidden object game, where the main objective is to collect scattered pieces or instances of objects to reassemble and use them to solve puzzles. Most of the screen shows a static scene, with a tray at the bottom showing pictures of the object pieces that have be collected from the location. The numbers of the remaining pieces or instances are displayed beside each picture. After being reassembled, the items are stored inside the inventory at the right side of the screen, from where they can be dragged and dropped on specific places to perform certain actions and solve puzzles. Some puzzles take place on a separate screen, where a mechanism of some sort has to be directly manipulated to solve jigsaw puzzles, memory games, implementations of Simon and other similar challenges. The pendant at the bottom-right of the screen is the hint button, showing the position of one of the required items, but taking some time to recharge after use.
