You have enrolled in the Academy of Magic. Make your teachers proud and advance from a Novice to a Grand Master as you build words and learn spells. This is, as its name implies, a word game. You must spell words of three or more letters by clicking the letters in correct order. The letters must touch, side-to-side, up-and-down and/or diagonally. As you complete words, you gain manna but, also, obsidian tiles will appear from the right side of the screen. You must complete the level or use these tiles before they reach the teacher at the left side or it is game over. Also, as the game progresses, you will learn spells that can help you, provided you have the manna to cast them. These spells can include removing, changing or swapping a letter tile, freezing an obsidian tile so it won't slide left or turning an obsidian tile into a regular tile. Also, some tiles will have gems appear. These are amber, amethyst, emerald, ruby and diamond. If you use letters with gems, you get more points and manna. If you collect at least one of each kind of gem, you will open a bonus game. There are three game modes. In Strategy mode, there is no time limit. Obsidian tiles will only appear or move after you have made a word. In Action mode, there, technically, is no time limit but obsidian tiles will appear and/or move after a few seconds, whether you do anything or not. In Time trial mode, you have a limited amount of time to complete the levels or it's game over. |
