The player navigates the titular character Murphy around the family house, interacting with various members of the family and viewing animated cutscenes. The most iconic thing in the house is Murphy's television set. The game teaches both English and Japanese on the television programs. It is dedicated to the laws of Murphy, the so-called laws of meanness. Which means, if there is the slightest chance that something goes wrong, then it certainly will go wrong.
