Entity Loriciel, Maxell 1994

This is a side-scrolling platform game in which you control a female (in her bare essentials) trying to save a planet from an evil creature (the entity) that has broken lose from it's petrified state and is about to wreak havoc. An elder informs her that she is the chosen one, whom we get to see in the intro. The planet is not ours - it’s someone else’s: some creatures kidnapped our heroine and landed her on a planet with dinosaurs. It is battles with various types of these animals (including flying ones) using either a blaster or something similar that form the basis of the gameplay of the game. The background graphics here are simply amazing as well as the dinosaurs. But the model of the heroine herself is not very good (but this is partly good). The game is very difficult: the controls are unresponsive, if the pterodactyl is high above you, it is difficult to hit it (the heroine has trouble aiming vertically), some types of dinosaurs are not killed at all. The DOS release has expanded color palette compared to the earlier 1993 Amiga version. A 1996 CD release added higher quality music as Audio tracks, a longer intro opening, a game menu, a new 'Video Message' section (an interactive manual), new animated in-game 'hint messages' and full voiceover in several languages (French, English, German, Spanish and Italian). It also supports the 'ReelMagic' MPG decoder card by Sigma Designs. If the card is present, introduction sequence and in-game 'hint messages' are replaced by live action full-screen FMV sequences.
