Heimdall 2 The 8th Day / Core Design 1994

In this sequel to the addictive original, Heimdall - one of the gods in Valhalla, guards the only path from Valhalla to Midgard (Realm of the mortals), the Rainbow-bridge. According to the ancient tales he is gifted with the best hearing and sight of all the gods, and so he watches over the humans and alerts the other gods if something is happening. In Heimdall 2 he is once again on a quest to teach the half-god Loki a lesson, but this time he needs to walk around in Midgard as a mortal. Together with a female, a Valkyrie, he tries to help all the people he sees are in need, and find Loki. He has to not only retrieve the weapons of the Gods, but the amulets, talismen and Ro'Gelds (sources of magic) that are scattered throughtout the various worlds. Increase your statistics by practising combat and magic, fight various creatures and delve into various sub-plots that make up the whole. The graphics this time are more colorful and the game still highly addictive. The CD-ROM versions contain a CD audio soundtrack composed by Martin Iveson.
