This game is loosely based on the famous book Robinson Crusoe written by Daniel Defoe in the 1700s. It's a point-and-click, cartoon-style humorous adventure game. Most of the puzzles are inventory-based, and there are several discrete puzzles that pop up in their own screens that you must solve in order to progress. In the game, Robinson slumbers in his rocking chair and dreams of sailing the South Pacific. During the sailing dream, a storm blows and the boat sinks. Robinson then wakes up on an island, which he initially believes is his destiny. The game is that Robinson will survive on the island and then be able to get back to civilization again. At first, he must find food, drink and build a house. It is then the big problems start for him when he encounters a native named Friday and cannibals. Robinson and Friday encounter all the time various tricky puzzles, which must be solved to make progress in the game. The game is very fun with great graphics. The severity of the game is appropriate for adolescents aged 10 years. Younger children may need the help of someone older to solve riddles. If you get stuck on a riddle, you can always ask the parrot, or visit the Young Genius website for tips. |
