Arguably the best game based on Greek mythology ever made, Wrath of
the Gods puts you in the sandals of an orphan who discovers that he's actually Zeus'
son and must accomplish heroic deeds to earn his place on Olympus. Puzzles are fun,
but easy for those familiar with Greek myths (e.g. how Hercules slay the Hydra).
Cheesy acting is compensated for by excellent on-line database of Greek myths and
hints, and numerous locations. The game's fatal flaw is that it was poorly coded
Windows 3.1 engine led to very SLOW speed that's almost unplayable on a 386. But
it's a flaw that's no longer relevant with today's computers. |
