Walking Dead, The Telltale Games 2012

This is an episodic video game based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series. The game will consist of five episodes which cost $4.99 each or $24.99 for a season pass of all five. It will focus more on characterization and emotion than action. The game will feature cross-genre of both adventure and action, in which, like in the previous Telltale titles, the player must make use of inventory items and environment, however, unlike in them, the played characters will have limited time to do so and could die in the process. The plot revolves around five specific survivors who just arrived in the infected city and each chapter will center around one specific character. Ep1: A New Day (Apr 24) Players take on the role of Lee Everett, a man convicted of murder, now given newfound freedom and a chance at redemption in a world devastated by the undead. Intense life or death situations will force the player to explore the darker sides of human nature, and they will meet familiar characters and visit locations from the world created by Robert Kirkman, foreshadowing the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead comics. Ep2: Starved for Help (Jun 29) All subsequent episodes will use save game from previous episode or else it will instead "roll the dice" on Lee's past choices if a save is not imported. Mark gains entrance into the encampment by providing a large cache of food. However, after four months, the food supply has run low, and several members of the camp wish to remove Mark. As Mark is a newer member, players as Lee can speak to him regarding their feelings about other characters. Soon the trio of hunters locate two frightened students and their coach clutched in a sealed bear trap. With Walkers close on the horizon, Lee has to choose to save the coach or leave him to die. The rest of the encampment become increasingly angry with Lee's choice to bring new people to the encampment. Ep3: Long Road Ahead (Aug 29) The motor inn has been home for the past few months, but dwindling supplies, threats from without and betrayal from within set events in motion that change everything and cause Lee to reevaluate what – and who – is important to him. Fleeing Macon, the survivors head toward the perceived safety of the coast, but is anywhere really safe when danger follows them at every step? Witness the collapse of the bonds holding the group together and the shocking results of betrayal and emotional trauma. Discover a new threat to Clementine – can Lee protect her? Live with the choices you made in Episode One and Two as they affect your experience in this episode. Ep4: Around Every Corner (Oct 9) This takes a turn for the macabre, as the walking dead have become the slayers. Lee's ragtag group heads into Savannah in search of a boat to escape their dead (undead?) foes but may get sidetracked by Clementine's need to find her parents. On top of the infectious flesh-eating zombies roaming around, there are other threats that may be more terrifying. Paranoid survivors are constantly on edge, ready to make fatal mistakes, and an anonymous human presence is stalking Lee's group from the shadows of Savannah. Ep5: No Time Left (Nov 20) In the dramatic series finale, convicted killer Lee Everett must head out into the zombie-ravaged streets of Savannah to track down 8-year-old Clementine and discover the secret behind the mysterious voice on the other end of the radio.
