Nicolas Eymerich, The Inquisitor - Book 1: The Plague Imagimotion, TIconBLU / Anuman, Microids 2012

The medieval adventure casts players in the dual roles of Nicolas Eymerich and his partner, friar Jacinto Corona. It's a third-person saga, based on the novels by Italian writer Valerio Evangelisti. A cruel man whose only goal is to combat Satan, Eymerich assumes the mantle of Grand Inquistor when sent to a French territory where the Catholic Church has lost its influence. Once there, he discovers that the village is afflicted with a deadly plague and that madness and heresy have united, forests are on fire hiding monstrous creatures created by the ancient pagan myths, and the Cistercian castle has turned into an impregnable fortress where large stakes burn. It's up to Nicolas and Jacinto to discover the cause of these horrors and put a stop to them. There is dubbing and texts in English and Latin, extraordinary 2.75D graphics (a new original teqnique) in full-HD, and widescreen resolutions supported. There's 3 different game modes (adventure, interactive novel, accessibile/audiogame), and rich 3D audio environments (best in home theatre 5.1). It has from 6 to 8 hours of gameplay, and optional text driven input (issue commands with keyboard, for retrogame fans). An Easter-egg-based secret mechanism for high longevity... try to make a full 100/100 score! It has more than 20 different puzzles and minigames, and over 30 full-detailed environments. This first book will take Eymerich to combat the most ancient of evil, in the heart of medieval towns full of history and mystery, crossing different spatial and temporal planes. It was later out in English in July/2013.
