Postal 2 - Game Crash HELP

Postby 3DShootMaster » Mon Feb 21, 2005 3:56 pm

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone got the same problem as me with Postal 2. I got both ISO and Technic RIP. Looks the same to me and both I got a no-cd crack.

When the game starts up you see a violence warning screen while loading, everything looks fine. When it goes into full-screen it hangs black and there is no way to turn back to Windows (I tried all).

So after a while I decided to try the demo. Works perfect, great graphics and good sound.

I went on the internet searching for support pages on Postal 2 and I found no problems I could have with my hardware beside this:

You should use the default "Software 3D Audio" for sound output and you could also try playing without sound (-nosound on the command line) to eliminate sound as the source of your problems.

The game is finally running well when I use the -nosound command line option. But once in the main menu there is no option for me to enable sound.

So I downloaded the latest drivers for my sound card but still the same problem when I try to launch.

Please I hope if anyone can help me with this.

My system:

AMD XP 1800+
256 DDR-400 Memory
ECS Elitegroup K7S5A Mainboard
Q-TEC C-Media CMI8738/C3DX PCI Sound card

Running on Windows XP Home SP1

Thanks for the help..
