Just discovered that the Gamersgate release of the game has a gamebreaking bug at the end of level 1 as it fail to load the level, there is just a void instead, the I-Twins upload by Scaryfun dont have the same issue, but have other issues right out of the box...
The I-Twins release is missing English voice acting despite the interface and installer being in English. The files are named such VoicesDE.xpf. The gamersgate release which have English voice acting the files are called VoicesEN.xpf. I'm fairly certain I did select English during the installation.
So it looks like the English voice files never get loaded in the I-Twins release, because there arent any. I ended up just getting all of the language files from the gamersgate release (every file with EN right before the file extension). It is possible that VoicesDE.xpf actually contain English voice acting as there was just a 2KB difference from the VoicesEN.xpf file. Just that the publisher forgot to rename files...

Let see if this bricks the game again...No, game still behaves even after manually copying English language files from the Gamersgate release to the I-Twins one.

Compare the first few minutes, there should be English voice acting, but in the longplay there isnt any.
Seems like this this been mentioned in the forum years ago, but not solution at the time? Maybe I should do a quick search next time...
Now I'm more confused, installed the game from the gamersgate version that I uploaded earlier this year and it is fine? So the files are only bad if you get it from the gamersgate server. I would have blamed file corruption normally, but jambo also had the same issue. So the gamersgate upload on this site might be fine afterall.
Yeah this must be the case, even redownloaded the game from gamersgate and same issue. So the upload on legendsworld is fine. Something to be aware of I guess.
One of the files is different, something went wrong on the server side of gamersgate. The wonders of digital downloads.
