Apparently the game has an issue with multiple cores.

So go into the gamer profile of Ryzen master and disable Simulations multitasking (SMT) and enable Legacy Compatibility mode and then restart. This will most likely affect performance in other games, so enable creator mode again when you are done with the game...

This solution worked for me at least, I had no luck with programs such as Runwithaffinity or Process Lasso

crazy coincidence i installed inversion and there happens to be a post about this issue from only a few days ago
i'm out of ideas to make this run on intel, changing affinity didn't help, it's not often that a game just flat out doesn't work especially one so recent

I assume you have tried the WineD3D fix on steam forum then? Some laptops with Intel and Nvidia graphics would let you choose which GPU to run on. Those people had luck getting the game to launch when they choose Intel graphics.
