Alpha rendering issue if I've ever seen one - tried referring to PCGamingWiki or the Steam Community Hub IIRC on me end I did all me tests of the JP ISO Demo (1.10 patched, plus regedited using instructions from ALI213 linked within the topic) on W10 long before 21H2, methinks with Intel integrated at the time; so check if any of those updates afterwards might have buggered it

The latest Nvidia drivers had a nasty cpu usage bug, here is hotfix driver:

like Terje suggested main culprit are Nvidia drivers, i am on 516.40 ... never used Nvidia installers, only use nvcleaninstall to make drivers declutered from analytics and spyware ... guess new updated drivers fixed emulation of DX9c games

this could also fix the Urban Chaos problem i am having , its a DX7 game the first sand box of its kind ... works fine on a Internal AMD , but not on Nvidia drivers in win10 ... but it worked before

from 531 they added CPU encoding of ShadowPlay\Hevc when you game ...to help your GPU when it has no processing power to encode video footage ... before your GPU chocked and it slowed down the game and made your encoding crash or skip frames ... now it can temporary use on of your CPU core to help itself ... something like Ps4\PS5 has , but people found it annoying it uses theirs CPU if theirs GPU is too SLOW... so now you get a option to disable it
