Help to patch Unreal.

Postby Badass Monkey » Tue Dec 13, 2005 5:40 pm

My conection speed is very slow. To avoid downloading unnecesary files I need some help guys.

I have Unreal but I can't patch it to v226 because it says I need to have the CD and I don't.
There are two files for it:

1 - "Update Enabler: Overwrite existing file in your game directory to be able to use official game patches."

2 - "Unreal Gold Full Update: All files needed to update Unreal and Unreal Na Pali rips or full games to the latest Unreal Gold 226 version."

I just want to patch Unreal to v226, so which of these two should I download?

Thanx.

No. 2 Will give you the easiest solution - also with the new Unreal gold interface. If you have Unreal only make sure that you also download the small "napali fix" otherwise the patch won't work. :)

I'm sorry but due to certain reasons I had to go with the first option. I got a file that I'm supposed to put on the Unreal System folder, then after I overwrote the original I tried to patch the game to v226 (I have the whole 156 megs Unreal pack from the Legends Site), by default it says I need to insert the Unreal CD, but then I paste this: C:\Unreal. The patch starts working but when it's almost done I get a Critical Error message that says
the patch doesn't work with the current Unreal version. What gives?

Hope I was specific.

There are problems trying to patch using method 1 If you don't have the original cd - If you try method 2 you should have no problems - your choice.
