I've got two issues that aren't really high on my list, but I would really appreciate this, if anyone gets the chance to look this over.

I'm having the same issue with the patch (Giants isn't installed error), regardless of changing the registry keys and the like.....

It works fine so far without the patch, but the sound is all garbled.

I have a Soundblaster Live! sound card, and I was thinking the EAX patch would work with it, but unfortunatly, the patch will not install because of the registry settings.

So if anyone can help me with this, it would be highly apprecieated.

yup had the same error , to fix it you need to change the sound acceleration in dxdiagnostics .

How to do that :
1. type dxdiag in the run menu
2. a window will apear
3. select sound
4. there you can change the sound acceleration

If it's not too much trouble, any1 who has no problems patching, could you rip the patch and upload it somewhere? That would be great - coz I still can't play that game...
