hi, i downloaded Project IGI 1 and i replaced the old setup.bat with the new one setup.bat and all is decompressed but not rebuilded. It would be that the new setup.bat has bad instructions???????

Please just tell me what i am doing wrong. It would be because i use Win98 instead of WinXP....????

Not sure, try editing the bat file with notepad and see if maybe there's a wrong directory in there somewhere and change it if needed.

Is there something wrong here? because everything seems to be ok but the .exe files (other.exe, res.exe, sound.exe and dat.exe) don't work, because the setup.bat by-pass those files; and even the regsetup.exe isn't generated.....the problem here is very serious! Help please????

u replaced the setup.bat after using the old one ?

before u use the setup.bat

hmmm i had such a problem too with a riddick rip
like i said i dont know but copy the uharc.exe

in every folder that gets created after unpacking the archive(s)
that did it for me

It happens sometime on win98 that a particular instruction don't work, I faced earlier. Try including a pause command after every major command line, so that the command executed fully before the next command starts. Sometimes some bat file don't complete all tasks on win98.

of course I replaced the bad .bat with this new one, and now you see what happens to me. But well, strange things happens with those of us who have Win98 when games were ripped (and proved) on XP. I'll do what you say to see what happens....

mmhhh win 98 isnt really bad because it keeps the dos extenions

not like win XP

I done all of that.....maybe it's because this was ripped on XP and not on 98, but no matter, i will wait for a fix or use XP anyway or with a friend....
