Kingpin PROPER: Unpack Trojan

Postby Joeyxp2 » Wed Mar 15, 2006 5:49 am

After extracting this game and running unpack.exe I immediately get a virus notification. Apparently, unpack.exe is infected by Trojan.Blakhal.b
I would like to restate that this virus resides in the Proper version of Kingpin uploaded by dead-meat.

Sure there's a virus in it.. it's the unpacking virus. Better don't execute that file, it might unpack the game :P

Is there a way to clean the virus without deleting the file? My question is why the unpack file was infected in the first place.

Antivirus progs sometimes give false notifications on cracking types of programs. If dead-meat assured you it's ok, then it's ok.

Jaja...I had the same alert made by Avast Antivirus.

Solution: you must deactivate your antivirus before click on unpack.exe, later when unpack.exe begins to unpack, you can activate again your antivirus.
