Do NO-CD cracks decrease games overall performance? .. And what do they edit in cracks which decreases their size so much as compared to the original one. I think a SAFE DISC cd check will take no more than 7-8 lines of code.

no-cd cracks basically just get rid of the cd-check thing, alltho some might be sloppy crackers and miss afue things, so therefore yes it can decreas game performance.

But also making it run fully off the hard drive and not do "cd-checks" or some games even try to make things run off the cd (sims for example) having those files on the hard drive actuall increases game performance.

I've seen some no-cd's to be much larger files then the original exe.

Still personally, I would rather no-cd crack all my games then having to put in a certain disc every time.

But keep in mind, that you often dont have full game sounds with NoCD cracks anymore cause RAW tracks and sound tracks are not allways saved to hdd.

Agree! When the game runs fine it wouldnt matter for me either if its a bad or a good group or if i need to expand my hdd capacity for the "bigger morphed" exe

But, it's true. Ever heard about "pseudo cracks" which were in fact loaders that decreases the game performance and expand loading time? Maybe I'm not a cracking guru, but I've heard about this things. There's one thing for sure - a good crack won't decrease anything at all

lol. dunno where you folks get your cracks from, but i never experienced something like this. and i do know the insides, i sometimes do cracks myself.

so get official files, and you are on the safe side.

Yes,true.But the size of the exe gives not in principle hint on spyware.Try a SD Unwrapper and see what happens to your exe Sure there are bad cracks containing spyware, trojans around but hey,i have the eye of Mordor installed on my system

the biggest crack ive seen so far is for Kill Switch (60mb) lol

in my case the bigest crack was B.O.S a 2 gig crack for starforce 3.5+ , don`t forget I-ninja and the 350 mb crack for yet again Starforce 3.5+
