Mageslayer ISO

Postby rick1984 » Mon Aug 14, 2006 11:04 am

Hello!
I'm pretty excited about the recently uploaded Mageslayer ISO to the site, since is a game ive been trying to get in an ISO version for a long time...
But.. when i try to extract the files i get CRC and corrupt file violation (or something) errors. The strangest thing is that everytime i extract the files i get an error from a different rar file...
I have the latest winrar version and ive tried downloading the files again and..nothing... im going nuts!!!
Am i the only one who has this problem???
Even if i am... please help me! i dont know what to do!!
I tried it all and i came to the conclusion that they might be in fact corrupted...

Thanks in advance!

Use the sfv file to determine which file is actually corrupt then redownload that one...WinRar can give false info if a compressed file spans more than 1 archive.

Well... i checked looking at the SFV file and comparing the size of them, and they are just fine, i dont get whats wrong... Did you use some other program than winrar to compress the files??? Maybe if you did, i could use that one for extracting....

Thanks for the patience...

Nope, just rar, try getting the newest version of winrar, they changed the compression algorithm a little while back.

Ohhh no no! Everythings fine!!!
I had a memory that was damaged, so i was getting bad downloads... i didnt know the memory worked with the hard drive, but hey! its just like that... so! i changed the memory (im still in the 6 months warranty so it was no problem) and everythings working a-ok now...
Sorry for all the trouble and thanks a lot to all of you who had all this patience for me!!!

PS: If youre having memory problems you can use a software called "memtest". I could detect em with it.

Figured it was something on your end or else if it was the upload, others would complain too.
But good to know you resolved your problem...

Yes, it was really strange! Im loving the new computer model i bought.............. but it caused me a lot of trouble already!! i dont post things like this, that often, not without doing extensive tests before...
Anyway...
Im burning the game tomorrow. I already extrated it to bin after the rar extraction.. Then i tested it with daemon tools and it runs perfectly...
Again, thanks for uploading such a great game but most of all, for being so polite and helpful to people at these boards!
You people are so great! i love this site so much!!!!
