Chomp
"Chomp! The Video Game" is a 1995 advergame produced by Skyworks and Morningstar Software to promote the Gummisavers candy. The game seems mostly forgotten about despite the fact that "Chomp" was heavily promoted in comic books of the era. You could either go to the "GamePlayers" website to download a copy for free, or you could mail in some UPC codes from Gummisavers to get a physical copy which is the version we have here.
Chomp is a pretty basic five-level platforming game where you play as the world's most frightening mascot collecting Gummisavers candies while dodging snakes, scorpions, spiders, and other enemies that start with the letter S. It's not a hard game, but its wonky control scheme (mouse movement, only within the boundaries of the window) make it unintentionally hard. A lot of areas are skipped by simply damage-boosting through them.
Inexplicably two of Activision's greats, David Crane and Garry Kitchen, were somehow involved in this game. What.

Granted not that great of a game, but still a nice obscurity!
