Hi guys :hi:

Today in this sundey, September, 26th of 2004 I thought a better solution.

Keeping the upper frame where have the 3D Shooter Legends logo.

Keeping the left frame where have the links to the index, board, news, years numbered 2005 to 1991-1993, mod/add-on, faq, links

but the main frame (or in other words, the body frame of the webpage) is splitted in two frames.

Of cousre, intended to be viewed in 1024x768 resolution,

One with a horizontal like frame, containing the links to each game,

and a blank space below, (now this frame will be the body frame)

When the user click a game for example 'Duke Nukem 3D', the link open
a .htm file containing only the 'box scan' image of the game plus/more the description of the game, for example

1996 open the <a href='http://meineseite.i-one.at/ua19046/3dshooter1996frame.htm' target='_blank'>http://meineseite.i-one.at/ua19046/3dshooter1996frame.htm</a>

This frame have only the links to

The user click the 'Duke Nukem 3D' and at the below frame (now main body frame) opens a .htm file (E.g - 1996dukenukem3d.htm')

The site will be charged/loaded very fast with my solution and without losing the 'box scans' images.

What do you think about this solution,

Do you like my suggestion/solution. (Anybody here have a better solution)

Thanx for reading this and my best regards.

Hm... I like that idea.
But it's pretty much work having all those extra html sites, isn't it?

Yeah, I thought about this in the past. The thing I like about the way it is now is that you can go browse through all one year's games at a time very easily but in this other way you have to click one game at a time (which will result in up to 80 more clicks just to see all the games in 2003 for example). So, the more obscure and little known games will not be clicked very often I think.

Plus the half screen to list one year's games will need a scroll bar due to the large number of listed games (see the index at top of 2003 page).

The creation of almost 600 new htm pages (one per game) will also take a bit of time.

If people would rather have it that way, It can definitely be done....it would be nice to implement a redesigned site at the same time...something which seems stalled at the moment.
