Game Boxes and CD scans

Postby whatthuf » Fri Feb 27, 2009 4:40 pm

Just a thought, It'd be cool if we could download these. I take the original boxes I have, scan them, and convert them to dvd covers. Some of my boxes are too badly banged up and look bad when I scan them. I tried another site that did this, but they don't have many covers at all.

Well, you should search them by yourself through google. I try to have a size of 10KB max for one cover, so keep the original size would be too much for the server. But here are some sites where I download them :

GameSpot (the one I prefer)
GamersHell.com (rarely used)
jeuxvideo.com (it has 18+ instead of M etc.)
MobyGames (covers are marked with logo of the site)
Google Image (my last try)

I always include box/jewel case/disc scans when I upload an image made
from a retail game. Images are resized 600 dpi scans.
Nunc est bibendum!

@ whatthuff
You can find box and disc scans at Abandonia (Egon contributes a lot there also), and at my favorite place too.
