Viruses and Trojan Horses

Postby catchaserguns » Mon Mar 22, 2010 12:54 am

I've notice that one in a while an ad shows up when you go to either website that causes my Avast anti-virus ware to react to a trojan. I might suggest you check all your sponsored ads for viruses and trojans in order to keep this site clean and keep its good reputation. It happens once in a great while.

Hmmm, i've never gotten a warning and I use AVG Free Edition. The only ads are on the popups from the cjb.net link redirector - so let us know which ad triggers that and we'll pass it on to them.

No problems here either with AVG Free, the only ads I see is one pop-up you occationaly get when you go to 3DSL, and one you get when you first open Adventure Legends.

Avira never alerts me of anything either...

I'm in the same boat as hfric. Since I've installed adblock and noscript addons I never needed to check my computer for viruses, apart from that, since the beginning FF was blocking sites attempts to install spyware on your PC. You guys should quit using Mosaic.

I just very recently found a pop-up on your site that was that fake anti-virus ware that no known regular virus protection could remove. I had to do a hard restart in order for it not to get on my computer. Please be careful.

Those are nasty, Malwarebytes Anti-malware will remove them though. Those usually come in through Java exploits. Make sure you uninstall all your old Javas, and install the latest one. The new Java installs auto-update and uninstall the previous version, but the old ones didn't so lots of people have them causing security holes in their systems.

You told me that if I get a pop-up that had a virus to let you know what ad it was. It was a Beco Babies Ad. It came up when i first went to your page today. You might want to check it out.

Ok, I have sent cjb.net a message regarding this problem. I'll notify you of their reply.
