GFWL download links

Postby basetta » Wed Apr 30, 2014 6:26 pm

~60 days left to raid what you can from the MS servers. ** Rumored ** to shutdown on July 1.

Patches + DLC + Free games (edit: created by davispuh)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

edit:
July 1 2014 is a rumor spread by the community based on a retracted / deleted statement by Microsoft on the Age of Empires Online.

In truth, it may only be just AOEO that will be immediately affected and not the entire GFWL service. DLCs and Games / Demos cannot be purchased via marketplace. But they can be downloaded via links.

Google docs updates:
1. BSP has correct stable download links that should always work now (Volcano). Plus new official Mustang link. Also they found the 3 BSP war room developer journal videos (Journal Authenticity, Epic Battles, Dev Diary 3).

2. Complete non-GOTY Fallout 3 DLCs (all language packs).
3. Stable download links for Dawn of War II pre-order DLCs.
4. Misc game trailers - BioShock 2, Battlestations Pacific, Game Room, Fallout 3.

I'll keep updating this thread if there's new developments.

Has anyone tried the 4shared plugin for Chrome yet ? Apparently it lets you fetch files directly to your 4S folder without having to upload. I might use it to do a panic save of some GFWL files.

Hadn't heard of that but seems you have to be logged into a Gmail account for it to work according to some comments...unless they removed that. - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... daie?hl=en

They've updated the docs with 2 new items:
- Fallout 3 digital d/l links
- Bulletstorm Gun Sonata (v1) dlc

These haven't been added yet for MS Flight by davispuh but mentioned by aclair:
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308d2/hawaii.cab Hawaiian Adventure Pack
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308 ... m7260c.cab Maule M-7-260C
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308 ... ustang.cab North American P-51 Mustang
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308d2/a6m2zero.cab Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308 ... arhawk.cab P-40 Warhawk
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308 ... fdcf15.cab Vought F4U Corsair
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308d2/carbon.cab Carbon Cub DLX
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308d2/c46.cab C-46 (official link)
http://download.xbox.com/content/4d5308 ... 060002.cab Alaskan Wilderness Pack (official link)

So MS Flight is now the "Complete Edition"

I copied all URLs from the spreadsheet in a downloader. So far it seems like I got some 404's:
1309 total URLs
818 not found
491 files downloaded, total about 25GB

@davispuh put in lots of "blank" testing links that don't work - I think they're just for reference. He did add the missing MS Flight links.

The GTA IV DLC + BioShock 2 Minervas Den "partly" links depend on random chance - only ~1/5 servers has these files in public unsecured area. You'll have to keep trying throughout the day, or set a 5min retry timer.

Good news. @johnzorn has posted the next DLC:

Operation Flashpoint: Red River - Valley of Death DLC
http://download.xbox.com/content/434d08 ... ef0002.cab

Also @virusek has posted a generic Securom 7/8 crack, work with most games.
http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=912641#p912641
(tested a handful and they work - just put dll into game.exe directory and play - must use original files and not cracked ones)

GFWL Officially Closing?

Postby HB » Sun May 25, 2014 6:52 am

I haven't seen any official confirmation from Microsoft that GFWL is actually shutting down or that July 1 is the actual date. Do you have an official link? All I have seen are rumors masquerading as news posted on gaming websites.

I actually purchased a couple of games from GFWL, and Microsoft has sent me nothing about being unable to download those games after July 1.

I checked everything over carefully. I believe you're right: rumors started based on a deleted Microsoft statement on Age of Empires Online page. That 1 game will be stopped on July 1 2014. Which must've sparked the phantom imagination. Marketplace shutdown for games/demo/dlc purchases likely made it worse (and terrible for those of us who missed out). I can't activate new dummy pc LIVE accounts either so that's a downer.

The rest of the GFWL service may still be available for a few more years (Halo 2 Multiplayer was supposed to be shutdown in 2013 (?) but it keeps getting extensions).

Sorry for the confusion - I likely made a mistake. I resign for now.

I greatly appreciate the download links for GFWL games that you provided, so rumor or not, thanks for your post!
