Epic Games Christmas Giveaways. Right now on Dec 13-19, it's Destiny 2 Legacy Collection.

EDIT: Got the dates a bit wrong. Get a free commercial game every day from Dec 20-Jan 4.
There will be 17 free games in total.

http://itchclaim.tmbpeter.com/

This page is updated daily, sometimes multiple times. Lists active 100%-off itch.io sales. Many are claimable forever and some are limited-time free downloads.

You can get some cool stuff if you get in quickly - some authors post 1-day sales. Others seem to be limited quotas and the price goes up after a number of people grab the goodies. The summer sales had lots of stuff which I missed out.

If you have a python client, use the ItchClaim open-source software to do the auto-claiming for you.
