i finally downloaded emule and like i already guessed the first problem too

when the program tries to build up a connection to the TCP and UPD ports

it cant connect to the TCP port but to the UPD port lol but the TCP port is very important not so the UPD one

the help says this there could be 2 reasons for this:

1. you need to configure your firewall right and open the port

2. u use an router

okay

i dont use a router

but i use a firewall good i checked where i can open/close ports lol but theres no such entry i dont have a populary firewall just the one i got with the dsl box on a cd from the company

all i can do is allow and dont allow connections to some progams but ive done so for emule

man what can i do ????

if you use WinXP SP2 then the internal firewall might block it... see info on emule-project.net

otherwise it might be that your ISP is blocking traffic on emule standard ports. i heard in this case simply selecting another port should help.
but won't guarantee this...

also remember to port-forward you're ports (you might already have done this on you're dsl modem)
