Sabotain: Break The Rules

Postby level1900 » Wed Dec 03, 2008 3:01 am

This game is horrible, anyone played it? I read the description on 3dsl and, regretfully, I have to say the english version was actually made, I'm holding it in my hand right now... I can't believe I paid 10 € for this pile of junk.

It's possibly the worst FPS I've ever played, worse than Kreed, worse than Breed, worse than Genetroopers, even worse than Gore. It tries to blend Deus Ex and Halo, but fails horribly. The character models look pretty good, but the levels are bland, with monocromatic textures and two-polygons cars and buildings, also the weapons models look like those from the first Unreal.

The sound is torture for the ears (I even thought my sound card was broken and making random static sounds - no kidding) and the AI is ridiculous. The game also features one of the worst examples of ragdoll physics ever.

Don't buy it, don't even download it... In fact, don't even upload it! :P

Anyone else suffered through this game?

One thing I've learn on this site is... It doesn't matter how unbareably crappy a game is, someone's going to want it, in fact several people will want it. I've played Breed (unloaded the RIP infact, you're welcome), played 'Genetroopers' (I didn't finish it, but I did play it), and finished 'Gore'. My ability to withstand crap is enormous. I've played 'Revolution', a game that is really unplayable. I've played 'Operation Matriarchy', a game that required a 600MB patch just to make it playable, and then playing it was like having someone pee in your eyes. And 'Vivisector' which was yet another painful experience.

I can't wait for you to upload this steaming pile of crap so I can suffer and complain right along with you.

Good lord, you guys are sick FPS addicts at least as lost as me! :D

Ok, teach me how to split a game and upload it and I will give you Sabotain, a game so bad you will want me dead after playing it.

Wow, I hope someone savvier can gives you a better walkthrough than this, but here how I'd start.

1.) Download ImgBurn http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=news#news , it's a small, free and fast ISO burner/ripper program that works great. Install ImgBurn. Throw your stinky game in your CD drive, open ImgBurn, choose 'Create Image File From Disc' http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=screenshots , choose the right CD drive from the drop-down menu, you can choose the ISOs destination files below that, then click the big CD icons at the bottom to start. It'll take care of the rest.

2.) Install WinRAR if you haven't yet. http://www.win-rar.com/download.html I only know how to do the easy way of archive spliting. Right click on your new ISO, choose 'Add To Archive' from the menu. The WinRar box will pop-up now, at the bottom left is a drop-down labled 'Split To Volumes, Bytes' http://www.win-rar.com/splitarchive.html , click the arrow and choose 'Zip100', that'll split it into pieces just under 100mb apiece (which is the file size limit on 4Shared), then click OK. It takes care of the rest.

3.) Now we go to 4Shared http://www.4shared.com and sign up for an account (which is free).

I hope somebody else can give the details of 4shared, I don't remember how it worked and when I go there my own account automatically pops up so I can't check out the process...

Ok, thanks both for your tutorials. It's currently splitting CD1of2. It's making 98MB chunks called part1.rar, part2.rar... I couldn't figure out how to make 50MB ones (do I have to type the size in?).

A question: is it better to register a 4shared account for each game I upload or make multiple folders in the same account?

(by the way, talking about crappy games: I just finished playing Nina: Agent Chronicles and I'm currently playing Navy Seals 2... ugh... gotta get therapy).

The 'pros' on here know how to do that. Everytime I try it ends in disaster, so I stick to the simple way.

1 4Shared account= 5 Gbs., so unless you're planning on upping a ton of stuff, 1 account will probably be enough.

There's tons of crap out there just waiting to be played. :D Every once in a while you find a 'treasure', I like to recommend 'KISS: Psycho Circus', because I assumed it would be crap before I even downloaded it, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was actually fun.

It's taking forever... like more than an hour to upload each 98MB part. Am I doing it wrong?

Anyways, have patience guys :P

Ready!

Sabotain: Break the Rules (more like break the CD!)

CD1&2 ISO+ crack, 4shared

Tell me if it works and you manage to get the game running. I'll re-up it in case.

Enjoy this great game! (Yeah right)

Ha! Welcome to my world! That's about the max upload/download speed I have here. :D

Checked your upload, seems to be okay. I'll have to wait for my current download to finish before trying it.

Damn! I just installed the game and I have some good news and some bad news:

The good news: the crack works, just ignore the 'wrong disk' message.

The bad news: sorry guys, the game is completely in italian, i didn't remember that. The speech is in english, but all the text is in italian :(

I should have checked the game before upping it. I'll post some translations of the menus and controls if you need.

Crud... If it's got the english audio tracks I'd be surprised it i didn't have the english interface/text files too in there somewhere. Did they make an italian only version of this?

I have no idea, I could locate no language selection. Maybe we can find some other way.
