When Sakura flowers are no longer blooming in Hakugyokurou, Yuyuko Saigyouji start her journey to restore spring. The title in English is translated as Brave Cherry of the Eastern. It's a vertical shooting game based upon Ikaruga, a 2001 arcade shooting game developed and published by Treasure. Yuyuko has ability that enables her to manipulate departed souls - ghost (purple) and spirits (white) - presented in the game where players can absorb enemy attacks and converted into energy for the game's special weapon, a homing laser. By using polarity system when Yuyuko is white, she takes damage from purple bullets but can absorb white ones. Player also inflict more damage on black foes, and vice versa. The key to success is knowing when to switch polarity, and being able to do it quickly. |
