Dead Linger, The Sandswept Studios LLC. 2013

Early Access Release This is a first-person zombie survival game featuring procedurally generated worlds of up to 64,000 square kilometers. The game went into Alpha on October 31st, 2012, and eventually it would allow you to drive cars, barricade windows, craft items, explore diverse areas, and kill zombies. You can buy the alpha for a discounted price and participate in testing and suggestions for the final release version. Dragging the zombie survival genre back into reality, the game requires you to use your head and stay on your toes to stave off the zombie horde. You are not alone, however: in LAN or Internet-based multiplayer you can compete or cooperate with up to 16 other players. There's lots of fun features such as campfires, scavenging, barricading, and more. Limited customization on the player (hair, face, eyes) and more, including female character models. There's a crafting system plus hostile and friendly NPC survivors. Basic weather systems drastically change gameplay and zombie behavior. After engine was changed from Unity to Unreal Engine 4 in July/2015, development was stopped on Nov 12 due to financing problems.
