| Uploader's Notes: | 1. Extract the archive and run Sims1WidescreenPatcher.exe as an Administrator. 2. Browse for Sims.exe (by default, this is in C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims) and open it with the application. 3. Set your preferred width and height and patch the original cracked executable file. 4. That's it! Now you can run the game from your desktop. If you experience issues, you can replace the modified exe with your original executable file (it exists as Sims Backup.exe in the game directory). There may be some graphical issues on much higher resolutions and the screen may be tiny - this is common because the game was built with older PC technologies in mind. |
