| Uploader's Notes: | If you install the game, you get a Starforce protected exe, if you run it from the CD you don't. So the installed exe is newer and starforce protected, while the one on the root disc is DRM free aside from that puzzle. So you can use the EXE on the CD as a "crack". You will need to do that sliding puzzle either way. The 2001 exe still has a basic cdcheck, but that one only requires the image to be mounted. The DPM profile I made seems to be sort of busted, as it only passed the disc check once. The uninstaller appears to broken in both XP SP3 and Windows 10. After forcing 640x480 I got the game running in fullscreen. I used QT lite 4.1.0 and got the animations (Quicktime movies) to play. TLDR: Mount the image with WinCDemu; Install QT Lite 4.1.0; Install the game; Replace the EXE with the 2001 one on the CD; Enable 640x480 compatibility flag; Play the game. |
