In Windows versions prior to the NT architecture taking over, the applications (and thus games) accessed the hardware directly. This no longer happens and some games ...

Redjack (Cyberflix) file errors
So following Titanic I thought I'd give Redjack a whirl since it's also made by Cyberflix. I'm trying to play this game (I got RJ from this site) on VirtualPC2007 with Windows XP. Problem is it keeps giving me errors. The error usually says something to the effect of:

This might not be the answer you're looking for, but anyway: you can install Win98 in for instance VirtualPC2007 or VMWare. A lot of older games that are 'difficult' under XP/Vista will run troublefree there.
Initially a bit of work, but saves a lot of time and frustration in the long run

Titanic Adventure Out of Time vista issue
Every time I try to play this game it crashes on Vista 32.
I did make sure I used the compatibility tab. I set the following files setup.exe, titanic.exe, ti.exe to Windows XP sp2 (b/c when I tried 98/ME and 95 it wouldn't open complaining about some kind of memory problem).

I have a question about a request
I know the rules say this:
Only Request/Upload Games! Do Not Request Or Upload Other Material (Apps, Movies/Multimedia, etc)!
But I was wondering if it's okay to request a score from an adventure game. It's from a very popular game series and it is available for purchase because it's the full ...

lol Yeah I know. People are crazy for paying that amount. Only good thing about buying it is that usually you'd get the box art. I'm one of those people who likes owning the box art as well as the game, but hey sometimes you just gotta make do.
You get physical copy of a game, which you can hold ...

Don't get me wrong, onawire. I just played the devil's advocate. :D
Too few people would buy old adventures if they were published again, so it wouldn't pay to the companies. On the other hand, they frown at seeing people download their property (they still own the licenses). So it's a "a-dog-not ...

Uninstalling Quicktime 2
I installed Ghostly Desires (yes I can admit it!). I couldn't get the game to work even though I installed Quicktime 2 like it wanted me to. I'm giving up on the game (I watched all the sleazy files anyway :P ) So now how can I uninstall Quicktime 2? It doesn't show up in the add/remove programs ...
