COMPLETE BACKUP SUCCESSFUL !!! :D over the course of 9 days I was able to copy everything over to the new HDD with minimal issues (on 2 separate occasions the WD drive made a loud click when transferring, which halted the file copying process (0 mb/s speed), I then cancelled the process and ran ...

Alright, received the NexStar HX HDD Enclosure today, mounted the drive and booted it up, formatted etc. Then plugged in the WD Drive, upon booting it made a loud click exactly like in the recording posted in original post.
