Re: Planet Zoo Low Resolution Animal Textures Topic is solved

Thank you both so much for the advice (and guide)! Much appreciated! :thanks: :thanks:   :D

1) Stick to PS3 SotC, as PCSX2 struggles lots more with resources than RPCS3 in trying to deliver fluid gameplay without slowdown (better than chuggy hardware of origin) specifically with this ...

Re: Planet Zoo Low Resolution Animal Textures Topic is solved

Thank you so much for this :thanks:  , I was eventually going to play some games on emulators because they had no windows ports, but I did not know that those emulators would perform this good on the Iris Xe, and Batocera is definitely on my to-download list now. These are some of the console ...

Re: Planet Zoo Low Resolution Animal Textures Topic is solved

Because I wanted to play a new coop game with my family (played most already), and No Man's Sky's coop mode is not proper coop. And if you really want to play coop then you have to get the Microsoft version and then create a fake account that may or may not get banned so really not worth it. I will ...

Re: Resident Evil 1-3 - future-proofing GOG to ClassicREbirth

Well that sucks, fortunately I have all the Sourcenext releases of RE and DC games, acquired from an awesome site that shall not be named LW of course At this point it does suck to be a "legal" purchaser/owner of the GOG releases, people should come to their senses and understand that in most cases ...

Re: Resident Evil 1-3 - future-proofing GOG to ClassicREbirth

(as well as both Dino Crisis installments if GOG ever gets interested in that series) Who'd have thunk it, https://www.gog.com/en/game/dino_crisis and https://www.gog.com/en/game/dino_crisis_2 :D

It is still a shame (and frustrating) that GOG did not use the Sourcenext versions of Resident Evil ...

Re: Planet Zoo Low Resolution Animal Textures Topic is solved

:thanks: so much for the prompt and detailed answer as always! :)

As for unreal engine 5, there is a game I've been meaning to play, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chernobyl, but I doubt any amount of tweaking is going to allow it to run on my laptop.

Why I say that, recently I tried Forever ...

Re: Planet Zoo Low Resolution Animal Textures Topic is solved

Using DXVK fixed Halo 2 Anniversary as well!

Here is a screenshot of the game when played normally (native DirectX 11/no DXVK)

Notice how the textures appear muddy and low resolution (same as the animals in Planet Zoo). This is how the ...

Re: Planet Zoo Low Resolution Animal Textures Topic is solved

TWO EFFING YEARS LATER I FINALLY SOLVED THIS EFFING PROBLEM BY USING DXVK !!!

DXVK is a Godsend to the gaming community and the people who work on DXVK should be in charge of AAA companies so they actually optimize their effing "mostly shitty" games!

I knew it was a effing memory leak/allocation ...

Re: !HELP! My Portable 5TB WD Easystore is making weird nois

Already did, the new HDD that I got is a TOSHIBA NAS Internal 8 TB drive, so I bought this https://vantecusa.com/products_detail.php?p_id=260 along with it, the new HDD rests safely inside the enclosure, and I turned the fan at max speed so the temps range between 24-28 degrees, never goes above 28 ...

Re: !HELP! My Portable 5TB WD Easystore is making weird nois

!!! COMPLETE BACKUP SUCCESSFUL !!! :D over the course of 9 days I was able to copy everything over to the new HDD with minimal issues (on 2 separate occasions the WD drive made a loud click when transferring, which halted the file copying process (0 mb/s speed), I then cancelled the process and ran ...

Re: !HELP! My Portable 5TB WD Easystore is making weird nois

Much :thanks: for the video Terje_P, it will indeed come in handy in the future, because unfortunately I fear it is too late now, fortunately I managed to get critical data to the new drive, that aside I also managed to copy 2 shows, all totaling 235 GB out of 4.9 TB, so can't use any cloning ...

Re: !HELP! My Portable 5TB WD Easystore is making weird nois

Alright, received the NexStar HX HDD Enclosure today, mounted the drive and booted it up, formatted etc. Then plugged in the WD Drive, upon booting it made a loud click exactly like in the recording posted in original post.

My plan is to copy the most important files first (movies, shows, games ...
