OK, I will do that. This could take a while though. It's a nice sunny weekend here and it may well be the last one for this year

Re: Hey, you want to contribute? (Beginner's Guide to 3DSL)
Having read "Upload a game" section, I see "4shared deletes the files you uploaded after 180 days without login to your account."
As I can't promise that I can/will log in in every 180 days, then how is backup organized?
Can I upload "something" to "somewhere" for more stable user who can upload himself and make sure it stays?
ps: I realize I could use some other site for upload which promises "indefinite", but nothing is sure.

NFO/Release DB
srrDB:
The site has NFO and SFV files available for download for most scene releases. Serials are removed from the NFOs.
srrDB:
Code: Select all

That's one very handy site, thank you for this address Shattered. I'll add it to the guide very soon. I'm going to rewrite everything almost from scratch anyway, I don't like anymore the way I wrote it.

Re: Hey, you want to contribute? (Beginner's Guide to 3DSL)
You're welcome.
The purpose of that site is to rebuild the original scene RAR files from extracted scene releases. Apparently, it only works for stored (uncompressed) RAR files, which means movie releases. I tried once to recreate a game release, but it didn't work because game groups use compression.
Thanks for writing this guide. I guess there are some posts in between your guide that could be moved. Better to have the whole guide together.
Also, the file RLSgen.bat has been removed from fast.karelia.pro.

You can rebuild game releases with pyRescene, but it's really buggy and doesn't work for many releases yet. However, I have been able to rebuild a few releases with it.

I was able to rebuild a compressed release with pyRescene + the tutorials on the site below:
Code: Select all
