Just think of it: this DNF rival has undergone 18 (eighteen) years of "development hell" - now I know what this really means

I'm sure Limbo of the lost has now become a common noun and an eponymous game for the whole incredible phenomenon.
My gratitude goes to all contributors.

Another in-depth look with all the *g(l)ory* details:
http://lotl.wikia.com/wiki/Limbo_of_the_Lost_Wiki

One thing is for sure - the author had rich gaming experience. ;)
But there's a huge downside for adventure game genre and community. Supposedly he never borrowed from an adventure game so accusations may arise that adventures are easy to build and it is an inferior genre - and here is the proof. It's sad. Some can also note that no other major game type could be created by just recycling previous footage (to an unbeleivable point of simply using PrtSc to steal!). Steve the Sicko let us all down and made a huge defamation for the whole quest genre.

Another thing of concern is that many respected adventure sites were easily fooled by Lo(t)L's hoax. At first they were very enthusiastic about the game and gave it a high praise in their reviews to an extent of "run don't walk for this adventure" (see JA, GameBoomers). Eventually GB refused to publish the review (I guess they were too ashamed :D ) and JA changed the rating from B to F (why? as if the game itself had changed). Is it alright to base a review on a preconceived knowledge or "new informaton"? I don't think so. Take it as it is and judge it, we have enough examples of compilation in a sphere of movies and no one bashes the film just for that.
As well as some other people, I'm also curious as to why the game wasn't heavily criticized for its outdated graphics concept. I mean no doubt that early AitD's are masterpieces but you must not create an adventure game today by just scaling up and down a floating protagonist in front of static backdrops.
Overall the whole scandal really questions the general ojectivity of female reviewers interested exclusively in adventure games.
I also have to add, regrettably there seem to be no professional adventure site on the net at the moment.
My gratitude goes to all contributors.
