and how can i play the game with patch 1.2 ?

Last 2 hours, 20 Times install and deinstall the game.

Never get this to run with Patch 1.2

Go back to me prior posts - check the posted URL on how to change the setup's compatibility settings (or specify the exact error that pops up when trying to open the 1.2 setup), and/or (if really seems to be necessary) disable them shields (OR figure it out fer yerself later)

Due to pc's having many possible configurations, often a solution for a problem may work on one machine and not another. There's no use getting frustrated that your problem isn't being solved immediately. You should be thankful that there are people trying to help you.

GROW. SOME. BRAINS. PLEASE. IT'S NOT THAT HARD.

Let's go through it bit by bit as to why keeping this damn iso is a problem in the first place. And it is. Said UninstallShield bug is prime example to that. A DOS-BASED (yes, FBSA!!!) crack is prime example to that. NOBODY with standard fare Win10 will find it easy or intuitive to install the thing, instead having to jump through hoops to get things done. Bad idea.

Ugh.

I'll try to resolve this problem by making a non-cut, non-recoded 1:1 custom installer of Shadow Force 1.2 cracked. And I don't want to see either an outdated 1.1 rip around here anymore and if the iso is to be kept, it's only for collection purposes because like hell is it for playing. That just doesn't work anymore. Geeze.

EDIT: OH MY GOD FFS... TC just outright spews a "failed to execute program" on me. Is this going to require a bloody virtual machine to install?!

EDIT 2: I needed to grow a brain or TWO of my own myself to deal with this horse s.hit. Lemme just say this:

ITEMS NEEDED:
- ISO
- CLASS RIP
- PATCH 1.2
- CRACK
- DOSBOX
- WINPACK

Headache and a half already? Here's what I had to do...

1. I extracted the iso. Completely. Even the img file with PowerISO. Tried to install, NO DICE.
2. I renamed files in Bin from ex_ to exe. Both.
3. I extracted the patch's data1.cab with WinPack.
4. I copied patch files over (Bin and Data folders).
5. I copied the crack12.exe to Bin.
6. WITH DOSBOX - REMEMBER, WE'RE ON WIN10!!! - I navigated to gamefolder\Bin and ran crack12.exe.
7. Game works but Launcher doesn't. Game works without launcher but let's be perfectionists and see if we can run this launcher, okay?
8. Extracted CLASS rip. Oh, hello, it has RegSetup.exe. Copied that to gamefolder and ran.
9. Launcher works too. Not that it's needed, it's just PLAY, HELP and EXIT. Everything is configurable from within game anyway.
10. Packed gamefolder that includes game updated to 1.2, cracked and with RegSetup.exe.

Result is the file that's about to go live on 3DSL courtesy of Scaryfun. Game entry will also be cleared out of needless/outdated stuff while we're at it.

Now, I consider myself a fairly savvy gamer and computer user. OP here is a complete newbie. From what I see here, you might as well speak Chinese to the guy and he won't be getting much. Hell. I didn't get much because I encountered completely different problems with trying to install the game from the iso. Again, I must stress: let's just see what ACTUALLY needs to be done in order to help. Please.

FOR THE RECORD:

If you see a crack done by FBSA or you have other indicators that it may be a dos-based app, USE DOSBOX. I know it sounds like nonsense but it is what it is. Some cracks aren't ready-to-use cracked EXE's, they are patchers and some of these patchers are DOS BASED. Meaning, they require DOSBOX. It's insane but hey. If that's what one needs to do, that's what one needs to do. Best situation, if you have a ready DOSBOX setup, don't tell OP to use the crack by themselves, provide a pre-cracked file instead. It'll be much easier.

If 1.2 still has a sound bug for you, try using compatibility settings, updating your audio drivers or just run the game on a vintage machine. I did all I could and I can't help you any further.

Unless somebody here has the iso of the Delta Ops version which is updated with MP lobby. Maybe it has some other miniscule fixes implemented?
