Need Video Card

Postby catchaserguns » Tue Feb 24, 2015 12:27 am

My computer has an Inter(R) G33/G31 chipset for a video card. But I can only work around with a 300 watt power supply. I know that everyone will say upgrade my power supply but I can't right now. Can anyone suggest a video card that works with a 300 watt power supply? Any real suggestions would be appreciated. :thanks:

If you can buy a video card, how is buying a psu with a couple hundred more watts than what you have out of the question? Will a bigger one not fit in the case? And if that assumption is true, how do you expect to fit a video card in the case? I know there are "slimline" gpu's, however I'm of the opinion that they aren't that much better than what you currently have. Since you want some realistic suggestions you should lay out your pc's specifications so you can get better ideas about what might work for you. Best of luck in your quest for better graphics. :)

I agree with Meddle, please give us the complete specs of your computer (motherboard, RAM, CPU, etc. etc.).

Information about the case would be good too.. is it a standard atx case or some slimline custom job from dell/hp/etc? Motherboard and case are really all I wanted to know about. And btw I hope that pc came with that psu... those things are $4.99 used on Amazon. You should really, really think about getting a better psu before sticking a video card in there. You don't want to overload it. If luck is not on your side it could end up taking more of your pc with it on its way out.

There shouldn't be any problem with adding a quality psu with a couple hundred more watts on it to your pc.
