It's been a long while since I last checked HotU, went back there yesterday and almost jumped from the chair - Underdogs is back (she came back last summer, actually!):

I was observing for a long time how the community was still hanging around, regardless of my laziness and negligence. And finally I gave up, you do want HotU to exist and you do want it to grow, so let it be your stubborn way :)
Since you really love it that much, let's bring HotU to its former glory (or at least make it fully functional again).

Spread the good (although very belated) news!

P.S. There are even a couple of new games added there.

That's good news, hope they get going again. Though, we have surpassed them by leaps and bounds now. ;)

HotU is different: their accent is on information and education and they're top in that field.
LW is also informative, unsurpassed in quantity and quality of downloads.
I see these two places as quite compatible.

Oh. Now it's official real HOTU... but without real files? That's the new concept for me. %) Hope, they will return files too... Otherwise it would be ever more niche site than it could be. :)

HotU (in my humble opinion) never was just about downloading, although you could download a lot of stuff there, it was (and still is) mostly about learning about games.

Still, we lost plenty of games that available on HotuD (and rarely available anywhere else) due to the developer's website is no more/working download links are difficult to find. Like Fallen Angel Studio's games.

Actually, there is one site that shamelessly steal full HOTU game database (or at least, most part of it, as I never seen game that was on HOTU, but not there), including manuals and extras. http://www.old-games.com. I checked Fallen Angel Studio - yup, it's here too.
