Brutal Doom Mod!!

Postby Mister_Headcrab » Sat Jun 30, 2012 9:59 pm

Brütal Doom takes Doom into a whole new level. It makes the game much more violent than before. There's much more blood, plus it adds unique gibs, death animations, dismemberments, headshots, executions, fire and explosion particles, flares, shadows over all objects, and much more.

I have downloaded:
brutaldoomv016b.zip (the mod itself)
ZandroDev1.0-120701-1352windows.zip (the "Zandronum-Engine")
What else do I need to play it?

First, you're better off using the GZDoom engine as it is quite stable and easy to run: Get it here
Second, I strongly suggest you get the ZDL launcher compatible with ZDoom and GZDoom, it will make things a lot easier (launching different wads and mods simultaneously, etc.): Get it here
Finally, put the original Doom wads (Doom, Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, Plutonia, TNT, etc.) along with the mod in the same folder you installed GZDoom and ZDL, make a desktop shortcut for ZDL and you'll be ready to start playing.

@Mister_Headcrab:
Thanks for the hint.
Making older games runnable on newer systems is always a difficult matter. It requires alot of special software, patches, version updates... But I'll try it. Thank you.
