If your anygood at reading scripts try ripping and modifying the install package to install to rip dir as the update not only updates the Suffering.exe but also Suffering.rfl (Suffering.rfl is a .exe file - something to do with the gfx engine maybe)

I uploaded SID (Install shield V7 script editor) to your YBC Deadmeat here

Well.. I don't know anything about those scrips. Even making a setup with Install Shield was too hard I guess

I once tryed it several years ago.

btw. till now there seems to be no need for the patch so if the patch won't work... nothing to worry about.

C:\Program Files\Surreal\The Suffering\

ok
the patch updates only these two files:
suffering.exe
Suffering.rfl

use this registry fix:
