ripper....for experts?

well i had the ripper original game back in the old days and at the time i was about 16-17 years old, i finished the game but with a walkthrough....

now i am again playing the game and i was wondering is it so hard ? or was it due to my small age? surely it's not a piece of cake but back at the time it seemed to me that it was impossible to finish this game without a walkthrough( heard also rumours that 2 months after the game release no one had finished the game yet)

So what i am asking the adventure professionals here is....Does anyone finished the game without a walkthrough?? just by curiosity

now that i am playing it again i am stuck in finding a code to access the library archives in the beginning...hope to find a solution soon....if there is any connection with something cause i remember that some riddles had no clue.....i think.

this game was so bugged that it was not possible to finish the rune puzzle and some other puzzle , thats why no one every finished it but now we have a patch and yuppie
