This is the FTP where I found the Havoc demo (which is appearantly is no longer avalible anywhere), there might be other treasures like old-old demos on this list, I wouldn't know what to look for though:

Yes, cd.textfiles have very many interesting stuff. I download about twenty thousands free/shareware games from it, and no I haven't a spirit to begin to check it out... :)
