Managed to run the game five times in a row at least
VMWare Windows XP SP3. Sometimes it will crash to desktop or throw up the unoriginal disc message.
Daemon Tools settings and profile.
Daemon Tools versions number does matter as with an older build realibilty of game launch was worse or even newer ones.
This was just me messing around with copy protection profiles and shouldnt be regarded as a appropiate way to play the game these days. The AlcoholSoft 120% image was more reliable than DT PRO.
I believe only the MDS files are diffrent though, as the MDF image itself has the same checksum.
And yes the original disc works every time.
If you have had other copies of Daemon Tools installed earlier and are having issues with the emulation software message displaying. You need to make sure that it is using the SPDT driver it came with and that emulation options are selected. Including the old cloaking software on my google drive, but it shouldnt be needed. It ran without using it on my Virtual Machine.
You can use the latest installer to uninstall any SPDT drivers.

You may get a message with says it cant find any, if that is so install the latest version, reboot and then uninstall it, reboot again.
Then reinstall Daemon Tools and the appropiate driver should be installed.
Also had sucess with Alcohol 52% Free Edition and ACID (Came with it) to hide virtual drives.

All these steps only applies to Windows XP SP3
It seems like modern optical drives have some issues with older copy protections, as It would only let me read the drive at 5X speed. As a results it took forever to install from the original disc.
As a test to see if it wasnt just my drive, I tried another disc and got appropiate read speed.
Should I really get a new/old case and a real 5.25 bay for this PC also
for the dump either way; can't tell what's its version number tho, and official patches don't install as it seems they don't count this one as compatible, dunno) - lovely
