How to use Cybermage cheats?

I've been playing Cybermage: Darklight Awakening. It's a good game, although loses interest in the last levels... Well, I'm curious to view the cheat mode. All pages I've visited in Internet say:

To enter in the following cheats, bring up the Key Prompt during the game.
Then type in:

doomsday

Then bring up the Key Prompt again and enter in one or more of the
following passwords for the desired effect.CodeEffect
onekill offDisable Easy Kills
invulnerable offDisable Invincibility
hit 999Easy Hit Power
int 999Easy Intelligence

But, how to bring up that "Key Prompt"? I've tried a lot of key combinations, but without results...

maybe they mean the console that was on the ~ key ?

Hmm, I press the ~ key, but nothing happens... I'm using DOSBox with the default key mapping (english, I think), but my keyboard has a spanish layout. The ~ key is at the left of the 1 (one).

well i all ways use hex edit tools for some games that are cheat immune
