Join Barbie and her friends for her second adventure as a detective called upon to solve a big mystery. You'll travel to a beach resort designed by an innovative and clever inventor. As in the first game of the series, you can enter or select your name from an extensive library and Barbie will talk to you during the adventure using your name. An added feature is the ability to import your picture or photos from the Barbie Digital Camera if you should happen to own that product. This time around, the adventure has you searching for expensive jewels that have disappeared. You'll investigate by interviewing a cast of characters, store your clues in the in-game crime computer, and garner hints by talking with Barbie's friend Becky. You'll explore the entire resort, search for clues with tools such as a magnifying glass, and uncover hidden areas. The interface is point-and-click and utilizes a "smart" cursor that changes to various icons for different situations as you explore your onscreen locations. Activities include racing a four-wheeler over the dunes, pursuing suspects in a boat chase, and even fighting the winds and clouds for a bird's eye view of the resort from your hang glider! The game contains a series of puzzles encompassing items such as a piano, lighthouse, gazebo, and desk. You can print out images, a Junior Detective Badge, and even postcards. | ||
