Aureum is an interactive "treasure hunt" game, where you must solve 41 puzzles
to win a big money prize, similar to Treasure Hunt 2001. At the time it claimed to be
the first to take advantage of the dual mediums of CD-ROM and the internet. 10 winners
were supposed to be shipped to a Mediterranean island to take part in the showdown -
a real life treasure hunt with £20 000 in Roman gold coins to be found, but Attica
cancelled the competition after the first 2 years and so 10 finalists were never
selected and the main prize was never won. |
