This is a short stylized Black-and-White video game experience based on the classic original sci-fi novel by H.G. Wells made using Unreal Engine 4. It depicts the Martian Landing at Horsell Common and the beginning of the War and the defeat of the Martians at the hands of Earth's Bacteria and Viruses 2 Months after the initial invasion. The game uses a modified version of the Alvim Correa Tripod Design. The War Of The Worlds: Survival (2021) is another game by same developer that re-creates the atmosphere told in the book... escape, survive, explore a open world map full of martian machines and aliens. Simple Controls: WASD - Move, LeftShift - Run. Go near objects to pickup them. You control Christopher, who upon arriving in a city, sees what at first appears to be a meteor, falling close to the village. Soon you discover that it is actually a terrible alien invasion, where beings known as Tripods, destroy everything and everyone wherever they go. The element of survival is very interesting here: you must manage the stamina and hunger bars well, which can be replenished through cans of food and drink spread throughout the vast world of the game. The game was later renamed Without Warning but both are unavailable currently. | ||
