A recluse old man originally inhabits the house. The old man, Bellini, is a retired magician. He used to be a celebrated magician who toured all over the world with his incredible magic show. Unfortunately he lost his touch as he grew older, and he fell out of favour with the public that used to flock to his shows. He lives alone in his big villa with his two pets, an incontinent cat and his beloved white rabbit. Bellini is a bit of an eccentric, and he still loves to experiment with magic. But Bellini neither understands nor completely masters the forces he is dabbling with. Bellini's world is turned topsy-turvy when his nephew Danny and his parents move in with him. Bellini is in a dilemma. On the one hand he does feel lonely and cherishes the company. On the other hand the noise and general upheaval the rambunctious boy causes infuriates him. One-day Bellini's pet rabbit disappears. Bellini is cantankerous and worried about the rabbit. When Danny accidentally breaks his crystal ball he blows his stack. In his rage he puts a spell on the boy that changes him into a ghost. It is at this point in the story that the player enters the scene. One of Danny's friends comes by looking for Danny. At the door the animals: Don Mouse, Flora the Fly and Harold the Dog offer to help search for Danny. With the help of the animals the player must now search for the whereabouts of Danny and try to piece the story together of what really took place. The game is at once the quest to find Danny and remove the spell, and the attempt to reconstruct the series of events that lead to his disappearance. If the player is successful the spell is removed and Danny is reunited with his parents. The yellow house once more becomes the happy place it used to be. | ||
