You're right: ISOs are much better that RIPs and that is my opinion, too.
But you have to keep in mind that abandoneware sites are free but bandwidth isn't. So it is much better to have RIPs available for download as they won't generate too much traffic. In addition back in those days bandwidth and ...

Who cares what genre is it exactly, it's a really good game, true classic.
I remember when I played it back in 1995 on my 486 laptop, even though the laptop didn't have a soundcard that was the most awesome game I've ever played back then.
